  • Dr. Tom Leighton

    Dr. Tom Leighton co-founded Akamai Technologies in 1998, and became Chief Executive Officer in 2013. Prior to becoming CEO, Dr. Leighton served as the company's Chief Scientist for over fourteen years and was involved in all of Akamai’s major business decisions. Dr. Leighton is Akamai's technology visionary and leads the senior management team in setting the company's strategic direction, while engaging directly with customers and partners from around the globe. He is also a member of the Board of Directors.

  • George Conrades

    George Conrades was named chairman and chief executive officer of Akamai in April 1999, bringing a broad range of business experience in the computing, Internet, telecommunications, and media industries. Mr. Conrades became Executive Chairman of Akamai in April 2005 and became Chairman in July 2010.

  • Martin M. Coyne II

    Martin M. Coyne II has served as a director of Akamai since November 2001. Before his retirement from Eastman Kodak in July 2003, he served in a variety of senior management positions including President of Health Imaging, President of the Commercial Business Group and most recently, Executive Vice President of Eastman Kodak and Group Executive of the Photography Group.

    Pamela J. Craig joined Akamai as a director in April 2011. As the former chief financial officer of Accenture, the global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, her responsibilities include the Corporate Controllership, Treasury, Tax, Investor Relations, Corporate Transaction Services, Client & Corporate Finance, Corporate Development, Finance Operations and Strategic Planning & Analysis functions.

    Monte E. Ford joined Akamai as a director in June 2013. Widely regarded as a leader in the field of information technology, Mr. Ford has been recognized as one of the '50 Smartest People in Technology' by Fortune magazine for his transformative leadership and progressive thinking as a CIO. He has served as Executive Chairman and Chief Executive of Aptean Software and CIO of AMR Corporation and Associates First Capital.

    Jill A. Greenthal is a Senior Advisor in Private Equity at the Blackstone Group. Prior to September 2007, Ms. Greenthal was a Senior Managing Director in the Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory group at Blackstone. She is based in Boston.

    Geoffrey Moore has served as a director of Akamai since October 2006. Mr. Moore has been a Managing Director of TCG Advisors LLC, a management consulting firm, since May 2003. Previously, he had been a Managing Director of The Chasm Group, a technology strategy consulting firm that he founded in 1993.

  • Paul Sagan

    Paul Sagan, Vice Chairman of Akamai Technologies, joined the company in October 1998 as chief operating officer and became president the following year. Mr. Sagan was elected to the Akamai Board of Directors in January 2005, and he became CEO in April 2005 and served as chief executive until 2013.

    Frederic V. Salerno has served as a director of Akamai since April 2002. Mr. Salerno was named our Lead Independent Director in May 2013. From 1997 until his retirement in September 2002, Mr. Salerno served in a variety of senior management positions at Verizon Communications, Inc., a provider of communications services, and its predecessors.

  • Bernardus Verwaayen

    Bernardus (Ben) Verwaayen joined Akamai as a director in November 2013. Having held numerous executive positions at leading telecommunications and technology providers over a span of more than three decades, Mr. Verwaayen has served as CEO of BT; international vice president, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Lucent Technologies; and as president and general manager of PTT Telecom, a KPN subsidiary in the Netherlands. Mr. Verwaayen was most recently CEO of Alcatel-Lucent from 2008 to 2013.
