Cambridge, MA, September 11, 2000 - ABC.com, part of Walt Disney Internet Group (NYSE:DIG) and the official Web site of this year's Primetime Emmy Awards, provided in conjunction with Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:AKAM), several streaming video elements on Sunday, September 10, the night of the Primetime Emmy Awards.

Live streaming video featured on ABC.com before, during and immediately following the Primetime Emmy Awards telecast included a live streaming webcast of the red carpet arrivals, hosted by Emmy-Award winning Linda Dano, who interviewed all of the celebrities arriving and later provided live backstage interviews with all of the winners and celebrity presenters.

ABC.com utilized Akamai's FreeFlowSM Streaming service and global network of over 4,200 servers to enable its users access to all of the streaming media and to deliver the live event to a worldwide online audience. Akamai also provided on-site encoding and signal acquisition services for the live webcast.

The 52nd Annual Primetime EMMY Awards, for outstanding programs and individual achievements in television during 1999-2000, was broadcast live on the ABC Television Network Sunday, Sept. 10, from 8-11 p.m. ET (5-8 p.m. PT).
