Akamai Elects C. Kim Goodwin to its Board of Directors

Overseeing State Street Research & Management Company's equity investments, Ms. Goodwin currently leads a team of portfolio managers, analysts, traders, and quantitative investments professionals responsible for $17 billion in broad equity assets, invested for individual and institutional investors.
Prior to her role at State Street Research & Management Company, Ms. Goodwin worked for Kansas City-based American Century Investments, where she was the chief investment officer for the company's domestic growth equity discipline. She has also served as a senior vice president with Putnam Investments, and a vice president and portfolio manager at Prudential Investments overseeing several Prudential mutual funds. Ms. Goodwin began her career as an assistant vice president with Mellon Bank.
Along with her business accomplishments, Ms. Goodwin appears frequently in the financial press, and has been featured in Time Magazine, USA Today, Investment News, and Barron's. Periodically, she can be seen on CNBC's "Morning Call," "Market Watch," "Business Center," and "Closing Bell." In addition, she has been a regular panelist on "Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street" since 1999.
Ms. Goodwin holds a bachelor's degree in politics from Princeton, and two master's degrees from the University of Texas at Austin - one in public affairs from The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, and an MBA degree in finance from The McCombs School of Business.
