CCH Selects Akamai for Enhanced Distribution of Tax Compliance Information
CCH Tax and Accounting, a Wolters Kluwer company, has been a leader in tax law since the inception of the federal income tax in 1913 and continues its leadership today, producing tax and accounting law information and software solutions for accountants, attorneys, financial planners, government agencies and others who must understand and apply federal, state and international law. Akamai's distributed network expands CCH's capacity on demand, enabling it to deliver up-to-the-minute electronic tax law and compliance updates to CCH's ProSystem® fx Office suite, ensuring that users of the software suite have consistent, reliable access to the most current compliance information.
Following a rapid implementation process with Akamai to support the recent tax filing season, CCH Tax and Accounting relied on the Akamai EdgeSuite service to manage the process of delivering downloads of critical tax compliance updates to customers in a highly reliable and consistent fashion from the Internet's edge. Akamai's ability to provide capacity when and where it was needed enabled CCH Tax and Accounting to support widely varying end-user traffic without additional infrastructure build-out during its busiest season.
"CCH is continually focused on improving its ability to better serve accounting professionals who rely on CCH Tax and Accounting for the most accurate and trusted tax compliance information," said Alex Godelman, director, Information Services & Technology, CCH Tax and Accounting. "To effectively manage the distribution of changes to the tax code, we extended this portion of our business to Akamai."
"CCH is known for its authority and accuracy in reporting and explaining tax law, and we're pleased that Akamai has been selected to support its information delivery needs," said Robert Hughes, vice president, Global Sales & Services, Akamai. "We were able to meet CCH Tax and Accounting's tax compliance distribution needs on demand, assisting them in their efforts to successfully support their peak usage season. We look forward to helping CCH Tax and Accounting maintain its standards for providing the most timely and authoritative tax and accounting information to business professionals."
