What you do with your summer can have a huge impact on what you do with your life. At Akamai we offer internships that provide a lot more than passing exposure to the intricacies and challenges of today's Internet. Your skills and academic training will be tested daily and your contributions will be valued and expected.

Summer internships typically run 10-12 weeks during the months of June, July, and August and successful summer interns often come back during the fall semester or over breaks. Of course some of our summer interns have gone on to become successful Akamai employees after graduation and have become indispensable contributors at the company.

During your summer internship you will have a chance to do the following things:

• Meet the CEO and Executive Team
• Attend weekly lunch sessions where different teams speak about what they do and how their teams work together at Akamai
• Attend an off-site midpoint event. Past events have included a scavenger hunt around Boston, dinner at Dick's Last Resort and a Boston Duck Tour with lunch and an event at Tomb!
• Form close working relationships with team members, mentors, managers and other interns
• Attend a send-off BBQ with other interns, managers, and the executive team at the end of the summer
