Jet Airways, India's premier airline, forged a partnership with Akamai Technologies to enhance user experience for its online customer base. With this, the airline launched Akamai's services to distribute content and accelerate applications of Jet Airways' website www.jetairways.com. Akamai's Dynamic Site Accelerator Solution will now enable Jet Airways to use technologies like "internet route" and "connection optimization" to speed up dynamic transactions and interactive content. Apart from this, it would allow the airline to strategically and cost-effectively deploy sites with a reduced lead time and assuring peak performance.
Jet Airways operates over 340 daily flights to 50 destinations that span the length and breadth of India and beyond. The airline plans to extend its international operations to North America, Europe, Africa and Asia in the coming years with the induction of wide-body aircraft into its fleet in 2007.
