Pangea Day is a celebration of what unites us, rather than what divides us. Movies can't change the world. But the people who watch them can. After May 10, Pangea Day organizers will facilitate community-building activities around the world by connecting inspired viewers with organizations doing groundbreaking work.

Leveraging Akamai's global computing platform of over 34,000 servers, PangeaDay.org will have scalability on demand to support visitor interest. Akamai’s integrated reporting tools will also provide real-time business intelligence to effectively measure the success of this global effort. The Pangea Day event will feature approximately 24 short films and include a number of exceptional speakers and musical performers, such as Queen Noor of Jordan and Iranian rock phenomenon Hypernova. Pangea Day will be broadcast around the globe in eight languages and through multiple forms of media. The Akamai Platform will help the organizers offer reliable and scalable delivery of PangeaDay.org and all live and on demand Webcasts, as well as enable the delivery of content to mobile phones.
