Event Presence Designed to Demonstrate how Akamai can Help Enterprises Respond to Ever-changing Threats

Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the global leader in content delivery network (CDN) services, will use the upcoming RSA Conference 2015 (Booth N4000) to showcase how advanced cloud security intelligence can help protect enterprises against a constantly changing threat landscape. Through live demonstrations of the Company's Cloud Security Solutions, event attendees will have the opportunity to see firsthand how Akamai's powerful Cloud Security Intelligence, a data processing engine within the Akamai Intelligent Platform, is delivering comprehensive insight into how malicious actors are attacking web properties, which in turn is influencing more effective technology and strategies for combating malicious actors.

Attendees also will have the opportunity to learn more about two new managed cloud security offerings, Managed Kona Site Defender and Kona DDoS Defender. Both solutions are designed to combine Akamai's industry-proven cloud security solutions with world class security expertise to help protect websites and web applications from malicious activity.

Technology demonstrations planned for RSA Conference 2015 include:

Application Security: Attendees will have the opportunity to see how Akamai's Cloud Security Solutions, including the newly available Client Reputation capabilities, are designed to protect organizations from a variety of web attacks.

DDoS Security: Visitors to the Akamai booth can witness several ways in which Akamai technology can be used to protect against a wide variety of attack vectors designed to render web sites and applications unavailable to users.

Security Basics Seminar – On April 20, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. PT, Patrick Sullivan, service line manager, will present "Internet and Web Security Issues" as part of the day-long session offering up-to-date perspectives on fundamental security topics.

The Long Road to a Secure Web – On April 21, 2015 at 4:40 p.m. PT, Andy Ellis, chief security officer will take a look under the covers of TLS web implementations to help participants better understand the hazards of the web, and the steps forward toward a safer future.

Rise of the Machines: An Internet-Wide Analysis of Web Bots in 2014 – On April 22, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. PT, John Summers, vice president, Security Business Unit, will offer attendees a new understanding of the world of the automated minions – bots – that are performing the dirty work for their human masters. The session will provide a deep overview into the world of web bots in 2014, as seen by Akamai’s intelligent platform.

Zero Knowledge Security – On April 24, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. PT, Martin McKeay, senior security advocate, will define the term "zero knowledge security" and explain why it’s necessary. His session will explore what it takes to create a zero knowledge solution and review current examples available today.
