Ponemon Institute recently surveyed 544 IT professionals who are familiar with credential stuffing and are responsible for the security of their companies’ websites. According to the respondents, credential stuffing attacks can cause application downtime, loss of customers, and involvement of IT security that can result in an average cost of $1.2 million, $1.6 million, and $1.2 million annually, respectively. Ponemon identified several other key stats concerning credential stuffing.
