Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the global leader in Content Delivery Network services, today announced that Akamai executive Dr. Robert Blumofe has been appointed General Manager of the Company’s Enterprise & Carrier Division. Dr. Blumofe will also continue to serve as Executive Vice President of the Akamai Platform organization.
Akamai’s Enterprise & Carrier Division is responsible for the creation and sale of products and services to help carriers operate a high-performing and cost-efficient network, and for major enterprises to improve the performance, cost, security and efficiency of their networks and applications for the increasingly mobile employee.
