CloudMinister Powered Multicloud Shift via Akamai

Akamai Cloud and local support helped Indian MSP drive efficient multicloud migrations and escape high hyperscaler costs

As a successful female entrepreneur, I appreciate that Akamai is a true partner offering support, programs, and a reliable edge-first platform that have helped us further grow and serve more clients.

Redefining multicloud adoption

CloudMinister Technologies began with a shared vision. Founders and partners Chandni Jagga and Tanuj Chugh launched the business in 2015 to make cloud services more accessible, affordable, and reliable for organizations across India. For Jagga, one of the few female founders in the Indian tech space, the business has always been about more than servers and uptime. “I didn’t see many women leaders in tech,” she explained. “So I decided to change that.”

As Jagga and Chugh’s company scaled, so did their commitment to building something bigger than infrastructure. The goal was to be the most reliable, transparent, and human-centric name in managed cloud services. Today, the company serves clients in sectors ranging from education and fintech to gaming and healthcare, delivering full-stack managed hosting and cloud solutions with a focus on long-term partnerships.

As part of the Akamai Partner Program, CloudMinister empowered its clients with affordable world-class cloud computing services delivered via the world’s most distributed platform and backed by personalized services and local support.

A personal mission becomes a professional edge

CloudMinister saw firsthand that cloud adoption in India was surging. “The market was growing 25% to 30% annually, with enterprises embracing multicloud strategies for flexibility and cost optimization,” explained Jagga.

From high-performance gaming servers to ultra-secure fintech platforms, CloudMinister’s clients rely on CloudMinister for stability, speed, and scale in this rapidly evolving landscape. “We’ve always believed that cloud isn’t just for the biggest companies,” explained Chugh. “Every startup, every SaaS company, and every school deserves high-quality infrastructure and support.”

And that support is deeply human. The provider’s people-first approach — backed by 24/7 support and a focus on trust — sets it apart. “We become an extension of our clients’ teams — real people with real accountability guiding and assisting at every turn,” added Jagga.

Moreover, CloudMinister understands that digital transformation isn’t just about shifting to the cloud: It’s also about trust. “We’re deeply collaborative in how we work with clients. From setting up their infrastructure to scaling it with their business, they can trust us to take on the heavy lifting so they can focus on growth,” Jagga continued.

Akamai: A smarter cloud alternative

By 2023, CloudMinister was ready to level up. Having built its name on private cloud and hyperscaler offerings, the team saw an opportunity to offer clients something more agile, more affordable, and more aligned with modern demands.

That’s where Akamai came in.

“We needed a cloud platform that could deliver high-performance workloads, without the hyperscaler complexity or cost,” Jagga explained. Akamai’s acquisition of Linode and its globally distributed edge architecture made it the perfect fit.

Partnering with Akamai for cloud computing was a game changer in how CloudMinister delivers value to its clients and scales its own operations. “In an industry where performance, reliability, and security aren't just expectations but demands, Akamai empowered us to meet and exceed those benchmarks consistently,” continued Chugh.

Akamai’s global edge network and intelligent routing let us serve high-performance cloud services to even remote areas, helping far-flung customers scale without compromise.

Migrating from hyperscalers for big impacts

With the help of the Akamai Partner Program, CloudMinister migrated eight customers — and counting — to Akamai. By taking advantage of Akamai’s cloud computing services, CloudMinister was able to deliver cloud services with local support and predictable costs.

One CloudMinister client cut cloud infrastructure costs by a considerable 30%–40% because of the efficient resource scaling and lower egress fees offered on Akamai Cloud. Another saw a 40% boost in app performance thanks to Akamai’s globally distributed edge network’s latency reduction. “Both clients benefited from enhanced security and faster deployment times, helping them scale with confidence and focus on innovation,” said Chugh.

Breaking into new markets and growing fast

While their clients got top performance without hyperscaler costs, CloudMinister also unlocked rapid growth in non-metro areas and underserved regions. Before the Akamai Partner Program’s help, expanding into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities meant that CloudMinister was battling high latency, scarce edge resources, and unreliable networks.

“With Akamai’s global edge network and intelligent routing, we can deliver low-latency, high-performance cloud services, even in previously unreachable areas. That enabled startups and enterprises outside major metros to scale confidently without compromising on performance or reliability,” said Chugh.

Additionally, the company overcame technical challenges in real time and built credibility in a crowded market with support from Akamai’s regional team. Co-marketing through joint webinars and partner programs generated a 30% spike in inquiries. “In addition to those benefits, billing in INR (Indian rupee), multicloud flexibility, and security features like DDoS protection have helped our clients scale confidently and cost-effectively,” continued Chugh.

Looking ahead: Scaling smarter digital experiences

CloudMinister aims to grow along with Akamai, using its cloud platform, edge computing, security solutions, and AI/ML tools to deliver faster, safer, smarter digital experiences for clients.

“We see Akamai as a long-term partner in innovation, helping us scale our services and reach new markets. It’s about creating a future where technology empowers people, and Akamai plays a key role in that journey,” explained Jagga.

To other female entrepreneurs, she offered this advice: “Don’t wait for permission. Dream big, trust your instincts, and break barriers.” And to businesses considering Akamai, Jagga concluded with, “It’s not just cloud, it’s a relationship — one that pays off in performance, support, and growth.”
