Vice President, Channel Business Development and Managing Director, International

Mark Weeks is Vice President of Channel Business Development and Managing Director of International and at Akamai, based in Zug, Switzerland. He is responsible for leading Akamai’s International business expansion across the regions as well as leading Akamai’s drive to grow ‘Channel First’ globally.

He joined Akamai in 2013, serving as Regional Vice President, Service Providers, responsible for growing the business transacted with and through service providers. He brought to Akamai more than 18 years of building strong sales and channel programs in the EMEA region, having served as General Manager for Global Banking & Financial Markets at BT Global Services, after stints in BT Wholesale. Before that, he was with Canadian telecommunications equipment manufacturer Nortel Networks, and prior to that he was VP, EMEA at Shiva Europe Ltd, a company acquired by Intel Corporation in 1998. Earlier in his career, he managed telecommunications sales in the UK and EMEA for Network Equipment Technologies Inc. (NET), Infotron Systems and Timeplex Ltd.

Weeks holds a Bachelors degree in Business Finance & Computing from Bournemouth University, England.
