The Akamai Information Security Team would like to alert you to a scam circulating on Telegram. Scammers appear to be contacting multiple individuals while falsely posing as representatives of Akamai Technologies and soliciting payments or investments using cryptocurrency for things such as online courses or online trading.

Please note that Akamai does not operate any channels on Telegram. We do not offer any such courses and are not involved in any investment schemes of this nature. We also do not engage in hiring or recruiting activities via Telegram. Any such communications should be considered fraudulent.

Akamai has notified law enforcement. We also recommend that anyone who believes they may have been targeted or involved in this scam contact their local law enforcement agency.

  • Verify the services provided by the company on official websites and trusted platforms.
