Prima started around 2006, so we are coming on our 20th year now. We implement, deliver, and develop business enterprise applications. We deliver solutions for HR, for banking, for internal business process application, and enterprise security. Prima is one of the very first few partners of Akamai in Indonesia. Akamai currently has very broad portfolio in security, especially microsegmentation, API security, and WAF.
Throughout the years, Akamai has been trusted by various large companies in Indonesia to protect them. From our customer perspective, what they get from Akamai is reliability and support. We do have some of the largest banks in Indonesia uses Akamai. We do have some of the largest ecommerce in Indonesia also uses Akamai, all processing financial transaction 24/7.
So reliability is the first and foremost priority. All of these about eight years that we've been partnering with Akamai, we've been supporting many, many customers, and I did not recall that Akamai ever had a major outage or issue. So I think that's what built the confidence for us as a partner and to our customers as well. We partner with many well-known vendors in the market.
But one thing that stands out with our partnership with Akamai is that it's the support that they provide to us whenever we have an issue, not just technical issue, issue in, for example, go to the market, issue in pricing, in competitions. There's always someone in Akamai that can help us with that. Akamai have a very well-established partner program, so we can do joint activities.
By doing that, we can generate new leads to opportunities and new customers. And Akamai continuously enables us as a partner to be able to keep up with the new technology and features
that have been brought out to Akamai technology. Our partnership with Akamai is already fairly established. Obviously, we will continue to work with Akamai in the future.

Once customers see what’s possible with Akamai, they are eager to make the shift,” explained Purwanto.
In one case, a Prima customer had struggled with slow support from a previous vendor, where responses could take days. Immediately upon switching to Akamai, the customer was impressed by the speed and reliability of support.
“Features matter, but reliable support and uptime is key for online businesses. Akamai provides that, reducing the stress of our customers’ IT security and operations teams,” he continued.
Building confidence through partnership and support
Over eight years, the collaboration with Akamai has grown alongside Prima’s capabilities. Early on, Akamai provided guidance for initial implementations until the team became self-sufficient. “We are a lean team, but Akamai always provides the right resources when needed,” Purwanto said.
Support goes beyond technical assistance. Marketing programs, market development funds, and joint lead generation activities have helped Prima attract new customers efficiently. Regular pipeline reviews and technical updates with Akamai representatives also allow rapid adaptation to market demands. “Akamai’s support in helping us succeed stands out,” said Purwanto.
